Optus ordered

For those following along we have ordered the Optus bundle as specified in a previous post.  We ordered it as a new service as I didn't want to have no internet for a while.  I'd rather have an overlap period with my internet at the MIL's place and a new account under W's name at our place.

The bundle we went with includes:
Unlimited, extra fast internet
Entertainment bundle of 30 channels and 30 pre selected movies per month
Unlimited calls to local, national and mobiles and to selected countries (including all the ones we'd need to call):

A new Wifi cable modem and PVR (personal video recorder) is also included.

We will still need an external antenna which is what I was trying to avoid when first investigating this but it's still worth it... if we have time to watch the TV/s!  

Apparently we can also watch FetchTV via our mobile devices.  I wonder if that means we can cast it again elsewhere with a Chromecast?  That would be good for when we aren't in the Home Theatre where it will be all hooked up to.

We have scheduled for the install to happen at the end of April when we anticipate that we'll have handover of the house.  Let's hope it is around then!  The original installation date was 16 April so we had to move it to be later.  Based on my previous experiences with telco installations this is never on time so I do hope that this time we got it right!  A day or two with no internet should be OK but not for too much longer after that!
